Project Genie

Project Genie is an experimental AI prototype developed by Google that enables users to create and explore infinitely diverse virtual worlds. These worlds are generated in real-time, allowing for dynamic and interactive experiences. Users can define their environments and characters using various inputs, including text prompts, images, and even Google's Street View data. The platform then constructs a navigable 3D landscape that continuously builds itself around the user as they move through it. The tool supports a wide range of environments, from photorealistic alpine meadows and dense forests to fantastical alien landscapes and macro-scale makerspace workbenches. Users can also build and control characters, which can be anything from a shiba inu with responsive controls to a cardboard box with unique physics-based actions.
